Good Morning, Bluesologists! It’s another Tuesday Bluesday in The Mermaid Lounge and we’ve got our blues EP going today, bringing you five hours of multi-artist blues and blues-rock.

Here’s your Tuesday Bluesday line-up:

11:00 a.m. Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blues: Various Artists

It’s back for a return engagement. Our big, bad blues EP is here with more than five hours of uninterrupted blues from B. B. King, Delbert McClinton, Bonnie Raitt, Little Walter, Slim Harpo, John Lee Hooker, The Animals, The Allman Brothers Band, The Yardbirds, Stevie Ray Vaughan, The Robert Cray Band, Johnny Winter, The Rolling Stones, Long John Baldry, Foghat, John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers, J. J. Cale, Koko Taylor, Janis Joplin, Muddy Waters, Tedeschi-Trucks Band, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Buddy Guy, Ry Cooder, James Cotton, and more!

7:00 p.m. Album of The Week: Full Moon Fever by Tom Petty

We’re back with our second airing of this week’s Album of The Week, Full Moon Fever by Tom Petty. This was the first of three great Tom Petty solo albums (although most of the Heartbreakers contributed mightily).

Tuesday Bluesday is always a great intro to our station. This is the perfect day with our signature blues extended playlist. You cannot go wrong, particularly since there are no subscription requirements or fees, and we do not ask for your personal information. Ever.

It’s Another Monday Here With Bonnie Raitt In the Spotlight Later This Morning and Tom Petty’s Deep Cuts This Afternoon, October 18, 2021

Good Morning All from The Mermaid Lounge! We start off the programming with Bonnie Raitt In the Spotlight today, and we have a great Tom Petty treat for you later. Read on to learn more!

We start off the day with Bonnie Raitt In the Spotlight!

Here’s your Moan-Day line-up:

11:00 a.m. In The Spotlight: The Music Of Bonnie Raitt

This is always a good way to kick off the day. There’s nothing like getting it going with one of the female pioneers in music, and Bonnie Raitt certainly qualifies as that. We’ve got a complete retrospective here for you so we know you’re going to enjoy it.

This set list can be found under the Playlist tab on this blog. You’ll have to scroll until you find it!

4:00 p.m. Tom Petty: Deep Cuts & B-Sides EXPANDED AND UPDATED!

We’re past the mid-point of Tom Petty Month here and we feel we’ve shown some restraint here. This week, however, the action ramps up as Wednesday we celebrate Tom’s birthday. This particular playlist is one of our favorites. Everyone knows the Heartbreaker hits, but Tom Petty made a lot of music in his day. What we give you here are the lesser-knowns. For those who are lovers of his hits, this will be a revelation. For those who have delved into all of the Petty archives, this will be a celebration.

This set list will be in the Playlist section prior to airing. Simply scroll until you find it (in this case, it’ll be at the bottom since it’s being updated).

Let’s go, people. Join your friends from Germany (I think the entire nation is on this morning), the UK, Japan, Italy, Spain, Portugal, The Faroe Islands, Canada, Denmark, and France this morning. You’ve got nothing to lose, and everything to gain.
