9:00 a.m. Album of The Week: Black Rose by John David (J.D.) Souther NEW!
Throughout his career, J.D. Souther has been primarily known as a songwriter who has been recorded by many artists, including The Eagles, Linda Ronstadt and Bonnie Raitt. Today he owns our Album of The Week because we believe he’s more than that. He’s a singer-songwriter (and his turn will be coming up soon) of extraordinary talent, and Black Rose is one of the best albums ever recorded.

For the first time, we had our ‘Here Comes The Night’ and ‘Ode To Morning’ EP’s fall back-to-back. Tonight we introduce the one-and-only Stephen Stills as our featured singer-songwriter for the week. The guy’s talent cannot be denied, in spite of some of the personal mud slinging that has gone on between members of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. We also trace his career as a solo artist, as well as with Crosby, Stills & Nash (pre-Young) his band, Manassas.
