On Sunday We Head to Motor City, Then It’s Live Dylan, and a New Everly Brothers ‘Spotlight’ Feature, June 8, 2025

Here we go! My weekend starts today and we’re headed for music from Motor City to start off the day. Then we have Dylan live from Royal Albert Hall in ’66, and a brand new Everly Brothers ‘Spotlight’ feature.

Here’s your Sunday Funday musical lineup:

9:00 a.m. M is For Motown: Various Artists

We kick off the day with music from Motown, including songs from Barrett Strong, Eddie Kendricks, Edwin Starr, Gladys Knight & The Pips, The Jackson Five, Kim Weston, Marvin Gaye, Jr Walker & The All Stars, Diana Ross & The Supremes, Martha & The Vandellas, Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson & The Miracles, The Four Tops, The Isley Brothers, The Temptations, The Contours, Rare Earth, Mary Wells, Tami Terrell, and more!

4:00 p.m. Bob Dylan Live at Royal Albert Hall, London, UK, May 13, 1966

We hop into the Wayback Machine this afternoon for Dylan’s brilliant appearance at London’s Royal Albert Hall.

According to the above-mentioned musical genius known as Bob Dylan, The Everly Brothers “started it all.” Indeed, they were game changers and a huge influence on many, many artists that would follow, including The Beatles and Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers. Adria Petty, Tom Petty’s daughter, named her daughter Everly in honor of The Everly Brothers. If you are not familiar, you can read more about them here. Better still, tune them in this evening!

Yeah, I don’t have to repeat all the usual stuff this morning, do I? You know, we’re on 24/7. We’re totally free. Yadda. Yadda. You can find out for yourself by hitting the button below!
