One of the best right here. A pioneer of the “Tulsa Sound” which blended blues, rockabilly, country, and jazz. His bluesy guitar, whispery vocals, and shuffling beat defined the genre. He also wrote some of the best: Cocaine, After Midnight, The Old Man and Me, 13 Days, and Crazy Mama are among his compositions.
