It’s a Big-Time Tuesday Bluesday With Our AOW Later, November 17, 2020

Here we are again on another Tuesday Bluesday in The Mermaid Lounge, and we’ve really done up the blues playlist we built for Blues Week. You get to hear it in its expanded form today.

We’ve got just over four hours of open stream blues today.

Here’s today’s line-up:

11:00 a.m. Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, and Something Blues NEW EXPANDED PLAYLIST!

We put this list together for the first time for Blues Week in September. We have since expanded it to just over four uninterrupted hours of open stream blues with James Cotton, Eric Clapton, B.B. King, Bonnie Raitt, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Paul Butterfield, J.J. Cale, The Allman Brothers Band, and many more!

5:00 p.m. Album of The Week: The Main Refrain by Wendy Waldman

If you don’t know Wendy Waldman by now, this would be an excellent time to get to know her.

Speaking of getting to know others, this would be an excellent day to get to know us. Actually, every day is. We’re not kidding here. We’re totally free. No advertising. No chatter. No bullshit. No personal information. No credit card required.

It’s Tuesday Bluesday Here in The Mermaid Lounge, Wendy Waldman is In The Spotlight, and Our Album of The Week is Back, September 29, 2020

The Blues are back for Tuesday Bluesday, we put Wendy Waldman in The Spotlight, and our Album of the Week is back.

Wendy Waldman was one of so many strong females out there with Linda Ronstadt.

Here’s your Tuesday Bluesday line-up:

11:00 a.m. Tuesday Bluesday! Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blues: Various Artists

For those who missed this during BLUES WEEK, we are re-running this playlist for our Tuesday Bluesday offering. It has already been updated with some new music!

4:00 p.m. Album of The Week: Give It Up by Bonnie Raitt

The first return of Give It Up from then 23-year-old Bonnie Raitt. It was her second studio album, and it’s clear that the blues are in her DNA.

7:00 p.m. In The Spotlight: The Music of Wendy Waldman NEW!

The way it works for me is that any friend of Linda Ronstadt is a friend of mine. I have discovered so many strong female singers and songwriters that way, and Wendy Waldman is no exception. (Others have included Valerie Carter and Karla Bonoff.) If you haven’t heard Wendy Waldman sing yet, you’re in for a treat. The song to listen for is The Eagle and The Owl. She and Ronstadt sound amazing together.

Good day out here. Sun is out. Sky is blue. Music is spectacular. Tune us in.
