Programming for Friday, July 26, 2019

Good morning, Ungovernables! Hitting the salt mines early in the morning tomorrow, so I need to get this house in order now. Here’s your special programming for Friday, July 26th.

J. Geils Band

10:00 a.m.   In the Spotlight: The Music of The J. Geils Band

That “other” Boston band, frenetic and funky is how they are described. I much prefer them to Band No. 1. But that’s me.

1:00 p.m.    Abby Martin on How Propaganda Engineers Consent for Empire

Abby Martin of the Empire Files talks to Mark Crispin Miller about the powerful role propaganda plays in our daily lives.

4:00 p.m.    The ‘All-Girl’ Revue

A couple of hours of nothing but the ladies of rock n’ roll.

7:00 p.m.     Alison Weir on the Global Effort to Criminalize Criticism of Israel

It’s here and it’s real. We’d better find a way to combat this.

Programming for Thursday, July 25, 2019

Good Morning, Ungovernables! Running a bit late this morning, but still within the right time frame since none of this actually starts until 10 a.m. EST!

joni

10:00 a.m.   Joni Mitchell “Live” at Carnegie Hall 2/23/72

Joni Mitchell is a brilliant singer-songwriter often known for being “difficult” to work with. I’ve been to several of her shows, and she isn’t always pleasant to the audience either. This performance at Carnegie Hall is not that Joni Mitchell. It’s as brilliant as she is.

1:00 p.m.    Abby Martin Interviews Bill Binney

Abby Martin talks to Bill Binney, NSA Whistleblower, who gives us the lowdown on what the NSA is up to. And they’re up to no good, as usual.

4:00 p.m.    Under the Influence

Hey, we’ve pretty much all been here…maybe a little too much Mezcal (who got the worm?), add a little weed and some ‘shrooms, and we’re good. This has always been a hot topic in the music industry, and this playlist proves it!

7:00 p.m.    An Interview With Dr. Paul Craig Roberts

Although Roberts is a Republican, he’s “gets” it. He’s one of my go-to guys who simply has a clear perspective of our current situation. Here he talks about the enslavement of the American worker.
