Ronstadt, The Dead, and Monterey Pop, Along With a New Heartbreakers Playlist, Monday, October 28, 2019

Good Morning, Ungovernables! We’re cooking now as we make our way to the end of Tom Petty month. We’ll go out with a bang with some new music, starting today!

Here’s today’s line-up:

11:00 a.m.    Linda Ronstadt: Live in Hollywood (1980)

The only actual Ronstadt-approved live album ever released, and it didn’t happen until 2019. It was well worth the wait.

2:00 p.m.      Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers: Under the Covers (New!)

The Heartbreakers have to be the best cover band alive. Here’s some more stuff they didn’t write, but still made their own.

5:00 p.m.      The Grateful Dead: Dick’s Picks, Volume 32

9:00 p.m.      The Monterey International Pop Festival

Before Woodstock, there was Monterey with Otis Redding, The Byrds, the Jefferson Airplane, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, and more!

This isn’t rocket science, this is music!

Good Morning, Ungovernables! It’s going to be a wet, wild weather day here in Beantown, but we’ve got plenty of great music to soothe the savage beast.
