Bob Dylan’s “Desire” is Album of the Week; After That, It’s Open Stream Sunday, February 2, 2020

Good Morning, Ungovernables! It’s an easy, breezy day here at #BecomeUngovernable Radio, with the exception of our Album of the Week at high noon!

Bob Dylan Desire

Here’s your Sunday line-up:

12:00 noon     Album of the Week: Bob Dylan’s Desire (1976)

Desire was Bob Dylan’s 17th studio album back in 1976, for a little perspective on the breadth and depth of this guy’s career. The woman behind the album was his estranged wife, Sara, but the woman backing him up on the album was also a factor.

Desire was the very first time I heard Emmylou Harris sing anywhere and really paid attention. I was hooked. It is her hauntingly beautiful vocals that stand out for me, along with the gypsy violin played by another woman, Scarlet Rivera. As for Dylan? He’s Dylan, man.

This is a great album. Enjoy.
