Good Morning, Ungovernables! We’re back with some great programming today, starting right off at 10:00 a.m. with George Harrison.
Here’s your line-up:
10:00 a.m. In the Spotlight: The Music of George Harrison
The quiet Beatle wasn’t so quiet after all. He was the first to release a solo effort after The Beatles parted ways (All Things Must Pass). The Concert for Bangladesh was the first real “benefit” concert ever held. And he not only was the lead guitarist for The Beatles. He was a successful solo artist and a member of The Traveling Wilburys.
3:00 p.m. Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers: Live at Rockpalast (1999)
Playing at Rockpalast is a rite of passage for rockers. Thousands of bands have played at Rockpalast, and the performances are broadcast live to the German public. Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers’ 1999 performance is considered one of the best. NEW!
8:00 p.m. The Beatles: Live in Stockholm 1963
Back in 1963, the Beatles were babes and Beatlemania was in its infancy. Little did we know what madness would ensue!
10:00 p.m. Album of the Week: Dan Fogelberg’s Souvenirs
Tune in. Turn on. Drop out. www.tinyurl.com/becomeungovernableradio
