Today We Ask ‘What’s In A Name?’ and Take You On A Flight to Copenhagen Aboard The Jefferson Airplane, Friday, October 8, 2021

Welcome to Friday here in The Mermaid Lounge. I was inspired last evening and updated our ‘What’s In A Name’ playlist. It is now officially an EP. Read on, Musicologists!

This evening we give you some live Jefferson Airplane!

Here’s today’s line-up:

11:00 a.m. What’s In A Name: Various Artists UPDATED & EXPANDED!

These playlists are a blast to create. So, last night, as I was planning to simply program today’s musical events, I realized just how many great songs were left off this list! Before I knew it, it was our latest EP. You’ll hear Chi Coltrane, Tony Joe White, The Beatles, Three Dog Night, Laura Nyro, Linda Ronstadt, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Warren Zevon, The Allman Brothers Band, Shawn Colvin, James Taylor, Bob Dylan, Johnny Rivers, Simon & Garfunkel, CSNY, The Association, Joni Mitchell, Donovan, Steve Winwood, Badfinger, The Kinks, Carly Simon, Steely Dan, Bonnie Raitt, Buddy Holly & The Crickets, and then some!

The complete set list for this particular EP will be on this blog under the Playlist tab. Just scroll to the bottom!

7:00 p.m. Jefferson Airplane Live at The Falconer Center, Tivoli Gardens, Copenhagen, Denmark, August 28, 1968

Take a trip back in time on Jefferson Airplane to Copenhagen for this great concert. We haven’t heard this one in a while. This seems like the perfect time to break it out.

Join us this morning, although not literally. No subscription or credit card is required. No personal information is asked for. All you need to do is pull up a tab and click on the link below (I promise, as soon as I have time, it’ll be a button).
