We almost never say anything about us being 24/7, but we are. In spite of our work to bring you great programming, you should know that we run 24/7 uninterrupted, rotating more than 27,000 songs. We just thought we’d make sure you know that.

Here’s today’s programming:
11:00 a.m. In the Spotlight: The Music of Shawn Colvin
Shawn Colvin has been at it for decades. She learned guitar at the age of ten, and grew up listening to her father’s music collection, which included recordings of Pete Seeger and The Kingston Trio. In 1996, she released her album A Few Small Repairs, and her resulting hit Sunny Came Home became her launching point, spending four weeks at number one on the Adult Contemporary Chart. It 1998, Sunny Came Home won Grammys for both Song and Record of the Year. Today, we put the music of Shawn Colvin In the Spotlight.
3:00 p.m. Album of The Week: Dusty in Memphis by Dusty Springfield
Another trip around for Dusty Springfield’s great album Dusty in Memphis. We’re winding down on this one. The last airing will be on Saturday. So, get this one in while you can!
7:00 p.m. Badass Guitarists, Volume One: Various Artists
You may not hear them sing in this playlist, but you’ll hear their handiwork on guitar. You’ll hear Duane Allman and Dickie Betts (The Allman Brothers Band), Mike Campbell and Tom Petty (The Heartbreakers), George Harrison (The Beatles), Jimi Hendrix, Keith Richards (The Stones), Bonnie Raitt, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin), Joe Perry (Aerosmith), John “J” Geils (The J. Geils Band), Pete Townsend (The Who), Paul Barrere and Lowell George (Little Feat), and more!
Ho Hum. Here we go again. It’s a great day to tune us in. That’s actually all we are asking. No strings. I know most people find that hard to believe, but it’s true. It’s the one time you’ll hear it where, if you actually give us a shot, you’ll find it is 100% true. No lie.
