George’s final album was released just about a year after his death, brought to fruition by both his son, Dhani, and his Wilbury mate, Jeff Lynne. That was George’s wish. The result is a great final album from a great musician and fully-evolved human being. This is the next-to-last airing. If you haven’t yet paid attention to this album, do so today! People refer to Marvin Gaye’s story as “tragic.” But the “tragic” part was only part of Marvin Gaye’s legacy. His influence on the development of the Motown sound earned him the title ‘The Prince of Motown.’ He left behind a musical legacy of great soul and R & B songs which should not be overshadowed by the tragic nature of his death.
