Welcome to Total Blues Tuesday With Our EP and Our Album Of The Week, January 18, 2022

Good Morning, Bluesologists! It’s a total Tuesday Bluesday on the programming side today with five uninterrupted hours of blues to start and our Album of The Week closing out the programming.

Here’s your Tuesday Bluesday line-up:

11:00 a.m. Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blues: Various Artists

We’re back with five hours of uninterrupted blues music for your listening pleasure. You’ll hear B.B. King, Delbert McClinton, Little Walter, Slim Harpo, Ry Cooder, Canned Heat, John Lee Hooker, The Animals, Janis Joplin, The Yardbirds, Stevie Ray Vaughan, The Allman Brothers Band, Elmore James, John Mayall, James Cotton, J. J. Cale, Koko Taylor, Long John Baldry, Eric Clapton, Johnny Winter, Muddy Waters, The Paul Butterfield Blues Band, Susan Tedeschi, Peter Green’s Fleetwood Mac Marcia Ball, Bonnie Raitt, and more!

7:00 p.m. Album of The Week: Raising Sand by Alison Krauss & Robert Plant

The second airing of this great blues-rock collaboration by two artists who, in some folks’ eyes, are an unlikely pairing. And I have to say I was surprised when this first came out. But it works. The chemistry is there, and this is one fine album.

If you’re a blues lover, this is your day. Before, in between, and after we have all that great wide Open Stream courtesy of The Music Mermaid. She is our guiding light here in the Lounge, and we treat her with reverence. Just push the button below for da blues.
