Calling Johnny Winter “high energy” is an understatement, and he is one of the finest blues guitarists of all time, bar none. Today we have a new show live from The Olympia in Paris.
3:00 p.m. Album of The Week: Idlewild South by The Allman Brothers Band
We’ve got the second airing of this week’s Album of The Week at mid-afternoon. This one was recorded over five months in several different cities due to the band’s intense road schedule.
7:00 p.m. The Allman Brothers Band Live at The Fillmore East, New York City, March 12-13, 1971
The Fillmore East concerts deliver some of the finest live Allman Brothers work ever, with a lineup that boasted both Dickie Betts and Duane Allman on lead guitar. Duane also played slide.
