This performance is new to our station. We’ve never aired it before. I saw the Stones live in Boston around this time back in the day. One of the best I’ve seen.

She’s a (primarily) folk singer, songwriter, guitar and piano player who is known for her stripped-down songwriting style. Her songs have been covered by many singers, including Emmylou Harris, Rory Block and Bette Midler. This is a great ‘in session’ performance by two masters during the recording of Dylan’s Nashville Skyline album, one of my personal Dylan favorites. Although The Girl From The North Country was the only cut to make the album, it was a great collaboration.
