3:00 p.m. Album of The Week: Carney by Leon Russell

We’ve got our second airing of this week’s Album of The Week by Leon Russell. It’s one half straightforward roots rock n’ roll, and the other half psychedelia. Only Leon could pull this off.

7:00 p.m. Muddy Waters: The Johnny Winter Sessions

By the mid-seventies, the Chess label had folded and Muddy Waters was in need of a new label. He was also in need of a career revival. Enter Johnny Winter, one of the finest blues guitarists on the planet. Between 1976 and 1981, Winters produced three Grammy-winning albums for Muddy Waters, and also supported him on the road in 1979. This compilation gives you the some great blues by two blues masters.
