Good morning, weekenders! It’s another keep-it-simple Sunday here in The Mermaid Lounge, and we’ve got our Laurel Canyon EP to take you through the afternoon and evenng. But before that we’ve got a great new AOW from The Lovin’ Spoonful who, of course, were a part of that Laurel Canyon music scene!

Here’s your Sunday Funday lineup:
11:00 a.m. Album of The Week: Hums of The Lovin’ Spoonful by The Lovin’ Spoonful NEW!
This is the band’s third studio album (and fourth overall), released in 1966 by Kama Sutra Records, and peaking at #14 on the charts. The album fulfilled the band’s desire to record in a variety of musical genres, including pop, country, jug-band, blues and folk. It was also the last full project by the original lineup. The album spawned four single releases, including the number one hit Summer In The City. Rain On The Roof, Nashvile Cats and Full Measure would also make the charts.
