Under the Influence, Bonnie Raitt Live in Oakland, Bob Dylan Live at Budokan & Our New Album of the Week, Sunday, January 26, 2020

Good Morning, Ungovernables! We’ve got some Sunday funday playlists to day, including some great live entries from Bonnie Raitt and Bob Dylan/

Bonnie Raitt-1

11:00 a.m.      Album of the Week: It’s a Good Night for Singin’, Jerry Jeff Walker

Jerry Jeff Walker is an American country music singer and songwriter, best known for writing Mr. Bojangles, but he has had a long and productive career. It’s a Good Night for Singin’ is probably his finest album (in my humble opinion), and Very Short Time is just a great little song that is impossible to dismiss.

True story, and my friend George who is out here from Palm Springs was actually with me that night. We saw Little Feat at the Harvard Square Theater. I can’t even remember when it was, but it was a loooong time ago. Jerry Jeff Walker was the opening act, and he did not disappoint. He was a blast. It was truly one of the best concerts I’ve seen in my life and, yes, we were probably wasted.

Life goes on.

2:00 p.m.       Under the Influence: Various Artists

Roll yourself a fatty and tune us in. No, seriously.
