Coming up at 4:00 p.m. we’ve got a great Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers ‘cover’ playlist. Many of these songs are one that have been performed live at their road shows. The same qualities that make them one of the best bands in rock music history also make them the world’s best cover band.

If you’ve ever listened to Tom Petty’s Buried Treasure Show on Sirius-XM, you know where The Heartbreakers’ musical DNA comes from. One of the greatest rock n’ roll bands in the world is also one of the best damned cover bands on the planet. Tom Petty loved adding songs to The Heartbreakers’ live performances that paid homage to those whose music inspired them. This is one of our favorite playlists here in The Mermaid Lounge: The Heartbreakers as cover band. We’re sure you’ll love it too.
