Good Morning, Ungovernables! We have a great line-up today from top to bottom.
Here’s today’s line-up:
11:00 a.m. The Album of The Week: Graceland, by Paul Simon
This was an album of epic proportions with Paul Simon stepping out to explore a whole new genre of music. Graceland won the 1987 Grammy for Album of the Year, and has sold more than 16 million copies to date.
We are presenting the expanded album here. The first 11 songs are the way the original album was recorded. There’s a break with Paul Simon talking about the making of the album, then there are several bonus tracks that were not used.
Linda Ronstadt sings some beautiful backgrounds and harmonies on Under African Skies, and Ladysmith Black Mambazo sings background on Diamonds On The Soles of Her Shoes.
2:00 p.m. The All-Girl Revue, Volume 3
5:00 p.m. Warren Zevon: Live at the Capitol Theater, Los Angeles (1980)
9:00 p.m. Maria Muldaur Sings the Love Songs of Bob Dylan
It wasn’t just about protest songs. Bob Dylan had a romantic side, and Maria Muldaur explores it in her own wonderful style.
11:00 p.m. Strike Watch with Adam Rice
