Here’s what’s in store for you today!

11:00 a.m.   Album of the Week: Mojo by Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers   FINAL AIRING!

We bid a very fond farewell to one of the best albums the Heartbreakers ever made. Tomorrow, there’ll be a brand new Album of the Week when you wake up!

6:00 p.m.    Cream: The Farewell Concert 1968: Live BBC Transmission

Yet another great supergroup — featuring Eric Clapton (an official Guitar God),  bassist Jack Bruce and drummer Ginger Baker — formed in London in 1966.  Clapton’s stints with The Yardbirds and John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers had run their course, and he was looking for something new. He found it. They gave their final live performance at Royal Albert Hall in London in 1968.

10:00 p.m.   Live Dead! The Grateful Dead Live at Boston Garden, Boston, MA: September 21, 1991   NEW!

My old stomping grounds: My beloved Boston Garden, now just a memory as we’ve exchanged it for the loud thumping, screaming, thunderous insane banging of the shithole known as TD Garden. I’ve been at TD Garden just once. That was quite enough. Thanks, anyway. But I digress. I was also at this particular Grateful Dead show. I remember it fondly.

Kids, it’s time for you to understand what radio was meant to be. We’ve got it right here.
