6:00 p.m.   Wilbury Wednesday! In The Spotlight: The Music of The Traveling Wilburys  NEW & EXPANDED!

Not only do we have every song made by the Wilburys here, but we recently found some bootleg outtakes from Volume 1. Seven songs to be exact. This is the greatest supergroup on the planet. You’re going to want to tune in.

The set list will be up under the Playlist tab. Scroll to the bottom!

10:00 p.m.   The Inner Sanctum: The Death Ship

A late-night layover as The Death Ship pulls into port with its cargo of Buddha only knows what. Probably crates full of Coronavirus. Who’s steering that thing?

Bad jokes are my specialty. But the music’s great and they don’t allow me on the air, do don’t worry about the jokes.

It’s a Tuesday Bluesday ALL Day! Joining The Allman Brothers Band are Taj Mahal in The Spotlight, and MOJO As Our Album of the Week, on June 23, 2020

Good Morning, Ungovernables! Without really planning this, we have a total Tuesday Bluesday today. If you don’t know the music of Taj Mahal, you have no idea what you’re missing. This would be a good day to find out.

Taj Mahal 68474-5

Here’s your Tuesday Bluesday line-up:

11:00 a.m.   Tuesday Bluesday With the Allman Brothers Band, Recorded Live at A & R Studios   NEW!

On August 26, 1971, the legendary Allman Brothers Band hung out at A & R Studios in New York and delivered some great music. We’ve got it here for you in The Mermaid Lounge.

4:00 p.m.     Album of The Week: Mojo by Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers

This album is the Heartbreakers’ ode to the blues. Tom Petty once said he envisioned all of them sitting in chairs playing and singing the blues together when they got really old. It’s a shame we will never have that experience now.

7:00 p.m.     In the Spotlight: The Music of Taj Mahal

Taj Mahal (born May 17, 1942) is the stage and recording name of singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and accomplished bluesman, Henry Saint Clair Fredericks. I have bumped into several people who don’t know who Taj Mahal is, and I actually feel sorry for them. Mahal has successfully married traditional blues with influences like Cajun, Caribbean rhythms, Latin, reggae, R & B, gospel, and calypso. He’s an amazing gift to music.

Tuesday Bluesday is always a great day to join the ranks here at #BecomeUngovernable Radio. No commercials, politicians, incessant talking, or begging for money. We are totally free and outside the system. We’re right up your alley unless, of course, you prefer to pay through the nose for your music.
