Welcome to Another Light-Programming Monday With Our House Playlist, and Alison Krauss & Union Station “Live,” August 3, 2020

Good Morning, Ungovernables! We have a light-programming day today, but it isn’t the quantity that counts. It’s the quality. We’ve got plenty of that here in The Mermaid Lounge.

Here’s Monday’s line-up:

12:00 p.m.   The #BecomeUngovernable House Playlist

This is the playlist that generally reflects our attitude here at the radio station, with Country Joe & The Fish, Bob Dylan, Barry McGuire, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Joan Baez, and more!

6:00 p.m.     Alison Krauss & Union Station Live in Concert

In 1987, Alison Krauss was signed to Rounder Records and released her first album, Too Late To Cry, at the age of 16. Shortly thereafter, she joined bluegrass and country band Union Station with Jeff White, John Pennell, and Mike Harman as her back-up band. This is a collection of live songs. All of the songs were recorded at the Louisville Palace on April 29-30, 2002, except for Down to the River to Pray, which was recorded at Austin City Limits.

Come on into The Mermaid Lounge, where there’s no tension and great music. We’re free. No credit card or personal information required. Ever.
