The British Are Coming! and Kate Taylor’s First New Album Since ‘Sister Kate’ (50 Years) is Our Album of The Week, Sunday, August 15, 2021

It’s yet another Sunday Funday here in The Mermaid Lounge. Today we give your our multi-artist longplayer called ‘The British Are Coming’ and Kate Taylor is back with our Album of The Week.

Here’s your Sunday Funday musical line-up:

11:00 a.m. Album of The Week: Why Wait! by Kate Taylor NEW!

Kate Taylor is back with her first new album, 50 years after Sister Kate was released, and it was worth the wait! Produced by Peter Asher (formerly of Peter & Gordon), legendary manager of Linda Ronstadt, and friend of The Beatles, it’s a great collection of songs by a woman who is part of a very musical family. Sister Kate does her family name proud.

3:00 p.m. The British Are Coming!, Various Artists

We’re back with more than five uninterrupted hours of songs from across the pond. You’ll hear The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, Led Zeppelin, Traffic, Derek & The Dominos, The Pretenders, Them, Peter Green’s Fleetwood Mac, Cream, Faces, The Dave Clark Five, The Searchers, Lulu, Gerry & The Pacemakers, The Moody Blues, The Who, The Animals, The Hollies, Badfinger, The Electric Light Orchestra, and many more!

It is, of course, a great day to tune us in. It is, after all, a day of rest and why spend it with radio that continually interrupts you with commercial content and loud-mouthed DJ’s when you actually have a choice. As an added bonus, we’re totally free 24/7 and are non-intrusive (we never ask for your personal information).
