It’s Wednesday and We’ll Be ‘Under The Influence’ for Several Hours; Some ‘Live’ Linda Ronstadt Closes Out The Night Later, November 16, 2022

Good Morning to all who like to feed their heads, sometimes with legal substances and sometimes not so legal. We have all been there before. We close out the programming later with some ‘live’ Linda Ronstadt.

Here’s where your musical journey takes you today:

10:00 a.m. Under The Influence: Various Artists

Aside from women, mind-altering substances are often the subject of songs. On this EP, you’ll hear Arlo Guthrie, The Byrds, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Jefferson Airplane, Bob Dylan, Commander Cody & The Lost Planet Airmen, Donovan, Glenn Frey, John Lee Hooker, Jonathan Edwards, Linda Ronstadt, Little Feat, The Traveling Wilburys, The Temptations, Small Faces, Steely Dan, Talking Heads, The Beatles, Neil Young, New Riders of The Purple Sage, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Velvet Underground, the Rolling Stones, Dave Van Ronk, Emmylou Harris, John Prine, Jackson Browne, Steve Winwood, Led Zeppelin, Harry Chapin, The Band, The Fraternity of Man, and more!

7:00 p.m. Linda Ronstadt Live at The Capitol Theatre, Passaic, New Jersey, December 6, 1975

The year 1975 was a very good year, especially for Linda Ronstadt. She had already released Don’t Cry Now in 1973, but 1974 was the year for Heart Like A Wheel and that album propelled Linda Ronstadt’s career into the stratosphere. She began that climb to the top in 1975 and was the Queen of Rock during the seventies, gracing the covers of Rolling Stone (more than once), Time, Newsweek, Cashbox, Circus, Creem and others. Drop by tonight and give a listen to the Queen of The Mermaid Lounge.

Hey, what the hell, why not Tune in, Turn On and Drop Out? It’s midweek. Step out a bit. And listen to some great music while you’re at it. We’re totally free 24/7 with no hidden costs and no surprises. And we still don’t play rap, hip-hop, heavy metal or elevator music. What more do you need?
