What was the result? A great double album of blues music released in early 1971, becoming the great John Lee Hooker’s first album to chart. The great Blind Al Wilson, leader of Canned Heat, died on September 3, 1979 from a drug overdose, just shortly after the album was recorded. It was released after his death.
