Truth be told, I contracted for this radio station just over two years ago. Somewhere in the back of my mind I had this dreaded feeling that we would all be shut down on social media someday. These slugs had already been compromised by greed and their obligation to cooperate with a government that continues to silence dissent and popular opinion. The shit on Facebook is just the beginning. They are now emboldened by their arrest of Julian Assange. They are in conrol. The judiciary in this nation is a slime pit of corruption and political end-games. Assange will never receive a fair trial here.  But I digress, and I do not wish to.

In short, whatever #BecomeUngovernable is doing on social media or elsewhere, we are replicating on this station. This will take a period of time. I can tell you this could easily be a full-time job. This is a disclaimer: You will find imperfections as we move forward. We simply do not have “perfection” as an option. If you follow this blog, which you can do in the sidebar with the click of a button, you will be kept up to date.

We have some excellent original programming coming up. You can check that out in Podcasts. In addition to the original programming already listed, we are talking to a few other people about developing podcasts for this station. We are also running lectures and information from the public domain that is essential to understanding why we must do something outside the realm of electoral politics to save ourselves. All of the planned programming is also posted on the blog early each morning.

I will not lie. This radio station pretty much reflects my personal taste in music. As far back as grammar school, my friends and I would hang out on our streets with the transistor radio tuned to WMEX in Boston. In those days, it was AM Radio that was king and playing all the best stuff. I can remember when WMEX scored legendary DJ Cousin Duffy from out on the Left Coast. Those beginnings are partly what this is about.

The other part is that these artists led a revolution in music. Their music was also in the forefront during the sixties. That’s why this station is what it is. There are exceptions, of course, like The Foo Fighters, REM, Soundgarden, and others. Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers can also be considered an exception. Yet, they don’t feel that way because they have — more than any other post-sixties band — embodied what that music was all about. We have a few more being added still, but the focus will be on what you currently hear.
