Good morning, musicologists, and welcome to the work week. We’ve got a great lineup today with plenty of Open Stream. We start out with the artists from the infamous 27 Club.

Here’s your Monday, Monday lineup:
10:00 a.m. 27 & Gone: Various Artists
We start the day with members of the infamous 27 Club, a list of artists who have died in their 27th year of life, including Brian Jones (The Rolling Stones), Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison (The Doors), Jimi Hendrix, Amy Winehouse, Ron “Pigpen” McKernan (The Grateful Dead), Pete Ham (Badfinger), blues great Robert Johnson, and Malcolm Hale (Spanky & Our Gang). It’s not an all-inclusive list as we simply don’t play all of the bands and artists on the list on this station, but you can read about it here.
4:00 p.m. In the Spotlight: The Music of George Harrison
This afternoon we give you the music of the ‘quiet’ Beatle (he really wasn’t, according to Tom Petty), including his years as a member of the Fab Four, his time with The Traveling Wilburys, and his solo work.
8:00 p.m. Linda Ronstadt Live at The Troubadour, W. Hollywood, CA, March 17, 1976
We close out the evening with our musical muse, undoubtedly the finest female vocalist on the planet and the seventies’ Queen of Rock, and an early performance at the Troubadour.
We begin yet another work week, but it doesn’t have to be all bad when you have great music to see you through. We’re here and we’re free. We also don’t run any commercial advertising. See for yourself. The button is below!
