We’re at Midweek With The Neville Brothers In the Spotlight, and Badass Guitarists: Volume One, on Wednesday, August 4, 2021

Good Morning, Music Lovers across the planet! Here we are at another midweek. We have a lot of wide open stream today, but we have some great programming as well!

Today we have a brand new Spotlight, featuring The Neville Brothers

Here’s Wednesday’s line-up:

11:00 a.m. In The Spotlight: The Music of The Neville Brothers NEW!

This one has been on my list for a quite a long time and it’s finally here. I got to see these guys just one time during one of my business trips to New Orleans. They were live at Tipitinas, a great venue, by the way. Today we have them as a band, some of them solo, and we also have The Meters. Art Neville was the founder of both The Neville Brothers and The Meters. They are truly a magical, musical family.

7:00 p.m. Badass Guitarists, Volume One: Various Artists

Here we have some of the handiwork of some of music’s greatest on guitar. You’ll hear Dickie Betts, Eric Clapton, George Harrison, Jeff Beck, Keith Richards, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Bonnie Raitt, Jimmy Page, Lowell George, Paul Barriere, Jimi Hendrix, Walter Becker, Mike Campbell, Joe Perry and more.

We’ll have Volume Two on Friday of this week, and we’re putting together Volume Three right now. So, if we’ve missed anyone, we’ll rectify that.

Once again, please give us a shot. We’re all about the music because this is a labor of love. We make no profit whatsoever. That is definitely not why we’re here.

Ladies and Gentlemen, The Jerry Garcia Band!

Here’s Thursday’s line-up:

3:00 p.m. The Jerry Garcia Band Live at The Orpheum Theatre, Boston, Massachusetts, December 2, 1977 NEW!

The Jerry Garcia Band makes its first appearance here on #BecomeUngovernable Radio in a live performance from my hometown of Boston, Massachusetts. You can bet it will not be the last!

7:00 p.m. Album of The Week: Hotcakes by Carly Simon

Once again, allow me to reiterate that this is one of the best albums ever made, and certainly my favorite by Carly Simon. Recorded while she was pregnant with her first child, it resulted in two hits: Mockingbird and Haven’t Got Time For The Pain. But personally, I think the best song on the album is Forever My Love.

Here we are again, telling you to tune us in. We’re not for profit radio. Seriously. And we ask you for no credit cards or personal information. Sound crazy? What can I tell you.
