Also just simply known as, Wings. Formed in London in 1971 by Sir Paul, who acknowledges that they were not The Beatles (nobody could ever be, frankly). However, they were a hell of a great rock band. Although members did come and go, Paul, Linda, and Denny Laine, formerly of the Moody Blues, were the constants until their breakup in 1981. They charted six number one hits on the Billboard Hot 100.

This was the very first concert of its kind, where musicians gathered to raise money and help others, and it was a major undertaking. Held in New York’s Madison Square Garden on August 1, 1971, George Harrison and his friends held two shows. Besides George, Ringo Starr, Ravi Shankar, Leon Russell, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Jim Keltner, Billy Preston, and many others took part in the event.

4:00 p.m. Hot Tuna Live at Sweet Water Concert Hall, Mill Valley, CA, January 27 & 28, 1992

A great blues-rock band born out of the ashes of Jefferson Airplane, led by Jack Casady and Jorma Kaukonen. One of the absolute best.

Christine McVie started out as a British blues singer years ago. Then known as Christine Perfect, she joined a great British blues band called Chicken Shack back in 1967. She also served as a session musician for Fleetwood Mac when it was a full-on blues band under the great Peter Green. She only joined Fleetwood Mac in the post-Green years after marrying John McVie. Needless to say, Christine McVie has stood the test of time.
