Good Morning, Ungovernables! TGIF, baby! We’ve got a great day ahead that includes two brand new playlists for your listening pleasure. Both are “don’t miss” events!

10:00 a.m. Badass Guitarists, Volume 1: Various Artists
This playlist could have gone on forever. Instead, we’ll break it down into small bites. It lasts longer that way. From Mike Campbell of The Heartbreakers (The guitar solo at the end of Runnin’ Down a Dream has a life of its own and is untouchable) to Slowhand, to Jimmy Page, this is the best of the best here.
1:00 p.m. Lies, Half-Truths, and Omissions: Revisionist American History, Ep. 1
This is a repeat performance of the very first episode from last Sunday before we release Episode 2. This will repeat one more time tomorrow as well. This episode is entitled Christopher Columbus Was Not a Hero. Learn about the man heralded as one who found the new world but who, in reality, unleashed a nighmare on the peaceful Native Americans already living here.
4:00 p.m. In the Spotlight: The Music of The Shelters
We don’t often spotlight new music, but we are today. Tom Petty had a ton of musical projects in the fire, one of which was mentoring a young band named The Shelters. In fact, he produced their first record in 2016, which was recorded at The Clubhouse, where Petty and The Heartbreakers recorded. Give a listen to the Shelters. They’ll also be added to the Standard Rotation.
7:00 p.m. The Secret World of U.S. Elections
Back before Julian Assange was vilified by a clueless American public following the lead of the fraudulent mainstream media, he gave us some insights into the reality of our elections. Trust me when I tell you it has not improved. In fact, like everything else when left unattended, it has gotten worse.
