Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers were road warriors. I’ve always said you really cannot appreciate this band fully until you’ve at least heard them live (seeing them is what you’d imagine a ‘religious experience’ to be). This collection of songs represent my personal live favorites from one of our official house bands. (The Beatles are the other.)
6:00 p.m. Linda Ronstadt & Friends
Like Tom Petty’s untimely death, Linda Ronstadt’s inability to sing is a rough one for me. I imagine she’d still be making pretty great music. What we have, however, is an amazing musical journey with a singer who could — quite literally — sing anything. We’re going to have some fun with Linda Ronstadt over this summer.
