Today, she’s a musical legend at the helm of the Tedeschi Trucks Band with her husband, former Allman Brothers Band guitarist Derek Trucks. Acknowledged as one of the finest blues singers, her voice is a cross between Janis Joplin and Bonnie Raitt, who she claims as influences. Her guitar work has been influenced by Stevie Ray Vaughan, Johnny “Guitar” Watson, Buddy Guy and Doyle Bramhall II. Tedeschi Trucks is on a nationwide tour right now. You can see for yourself. They’re scheduled for Boston on September 27.
