Back From Limbo! We Celebrate With Our Two House Bands: The Beatles and Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Friday, July 31, 2020

Good Morning, Ungovernables! Here we are back from Limbo! Therefore, it is only fitting that we celebrate the occasion (which we hope to never have happen again) with our two house bands!

The Beatles-Ticket to Ride

12:00 p.m.   Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers Live at the Fillmore 1999

Back in ’99, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers performed at The Fillmore in San Francisco for seven consecutive sold-out nights on The High Grass Dogs Tour. By then, the band was already enmeshed in a full-on love affair with fans, and this continued to grow over the coming decades. We love Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers here in The Mermaid Lounge.

4:00 p.m.     The Inner Sanctum: The Tell-Tale Heart    FINAL AIRING!

We not only say goodbye today to The Tell-Tale Heart but to the Inner Sanctum. We’ll take a very short break in the spooky proceedings, but will be back with another featured series soon.

7:00 p.m.     The Beatles: Help!, The Movie Soundtrack    NEW!

It’s not a new album, but July 20 was the 55th anniversary of the film’s official release in the UK. It was released in August of 1965 in the U.S. Today, we celebrate the release of Help! by featuring the soundtrack album. The song in the scene above (photo) is Ticket To Ride, which John Lennon called the first psychedelic song ever made. Enjoy!

Yes. We’re back. We’re still free. Outside the system. No credit card required. No personal information asked. We’re not in it for the money.
