A little unknown tidbit is that Janis Joplin and Jorma Kaukonen (Jefferson Airplane, later the great blues-rock band Hot Tuna) often collaborated. This is a short, but sweet, interlude recorded at Jorma’s house. The sound in the background is Jorma’s wife typing. Hence, the name. This is vintage 1964!

It’s not an all-inclusive list as we simply don’t play all of the bands and artists on the list on this station, but you can read about it here.

4:00 p.m. In the Spotlight: The Music of George Harrison

This afternoon we give you the music of the ‘quiet’ Beatle (he really wasn’t, according to Tom Petty), including his years as a member of the Fab Four, his time with The Traveling Wilburys, and his solo work.
