The original members of the group were Booker T. Jones, Steve Cropper, Lewie Steinberg, and Al Jackson Jr. Today we put them In the Spotlight.

11:00 a.m. Album of The Week: Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes by Jimmy Buffett NEW!

Affectionately known as the Mayor of Margaritaville, Jimmy Buffett passed away on September 1. There was a lot of mystery surrounding his health prior to this, but it is now known that he passed form Merkel cell carcinoma, a rare form of skin cancer. Jimmy Buffett was a hell of a ride. If you’ve ever seen him ‘live’ you know his shows were a blast. He was a guy who took music seriously, but had a good time doing it and his ‘Parrotheads’ did as well.

I saw him at Fenway Park in Boston in the early 2000’s, the first time I’d ever seen a musical act at Fenway. It was unbelievable. I took a Buffett shamer with me to the show. Even he had a blast and confessed he went out and bought this very album after. This is as good an album as anyone has released. There isn’t a song we don’t like, and it was on our list from the beginning. I moved it up. Circumstances called for that.

A fun EP here with songs including names in the title, lyrics or both. Some people are real. Some people are not.
