10:00 p.m. LIVE DEAD! The Grateful Dead Live at Boston Garden, Boston, MA, April 2, 1973 NEW!

I’ve seen many a concert in this legendary venue, which has now sadly been transformed into a mega-arena. It was supposedly done to improve the sound quality, but I think that’s utter bullshit. I digress. This show was just over three hours of sheer bliss. If you’re a Deadhead, come join the fun tonight.

Great day to tune us in. I do, of course, say that every day because I have to say something. We have many listeners from around the world. Music, as they say, is a universal language. We’re waiting for the U.S. to catch up…and catch on.

3:00 p.m. Ladies Day Out: Various Artists

At mid-afternoon, we turn the festivities over to the women of music. I hesitate to say rock n’ roll because so many genres are represented in this playlist. You’ll hear Linda Ronstadt, Dusty Springfield, The Pretenders (Chrissie Hynde), Carly Simon, Aretha Franklin, Laura Nyro, Bonnie Raitt, Cilla Black, Ann Peebles, The Supremes, Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight & The Pips, Emmylou Harris, Maria Muldaur, Eva Cassidy, Lulu, Wendy Waldman, Tracy Chapman, Melissa Etheridge, Joan Baez, Valerie Carter, Dolly Parton, Carla Thomas, Carole King, and so many more. Today We Feature The Animals, The Kinks, and Our Album of The Week, Thursday, August 19, 2021

Good Morning, Lovers of The British Invasion. Today we’re featuring a couple of bands who took part in the musical assault on our shores.

The British blues-rock band extraordinaire, Eric Burdon & The Animals

Here’s today’s line-up:

11:00 a.m. Deb’s Stream: Absolutely The Animals!

This is essentially another name for a “spotlight” feature because that’s what we’re doing here…putting The Animals in the musical spotlight.

3:00 p.m. Album of The Week: Why Wait! by Kate Taylor

We’re winding down on this week’s Album of The Week. Our final airing of Kate Taylor’s great new album will be on Saturday, so get it while you can!

7:00 p.m. In The Spotlight: The Music of The Kinks

Another great British band here, although somewhat underrated in my opinion given all of the great bands that came out of England during the British Invasion years. Tom Petty often said that Ray Davies is an unheralded songwriter, and I agree with him.

As always, a great day to tune us in as we celebrate a couple of bands from The British Invasion years. Before, after and in between we have our usual wide Open Stream courtesy of The Music Mermaid.

It’s Tuesday Bluesday With Muddy Waters, The Stones, and Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers…and, Oh Yeah, Our Album of The Week, August 17, 2021

Good Morning, Bluesologists! We’ve got some great blues here for you today from TPATH, The Rolling Stones & Muddy. We’ve also got the second airing of our Album of The Week on tap. Join us.

Here’s today’s line-up:

11:00 a.m. Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers Sing The Blues

The Heartbreakers had plans to grow old together, sitting around in chairs and playing the blues. They loved the stuff. Unfortunately, the real world disturbed that vision, but they played some great blues when they were together. We are playing that today.

3:00 p.m. Album of The Week: Why Wait! by Kate Taylor

The second airing of Kate Taylor’s long-awaited, much appreciated new album. Her first in fifty years. And it was well worth the wait.

7:00 p.m. Muddy Waters & The Rolling Stones Live From The Checkerboard Lounge, November 22, 1981

It was for one night only, and was the one and only time that Mick Jagger and his boys ever played with the iconic bluesman Muddy Waters. It’s one for the books.

Tune us in on this fine Tuesday Bluesday. You won’t regret it. And it won’t cost you a penny. Trust me. (You can. I’m not a politician.)

11:00 a.m. In The Spotlight: The Music of John Lennon
